Job Description:
An established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to strengthen its Environmental Impact Assessment team due to a strong and growing project pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior to Principal EIA professional to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse range of complex housing developments and infrastructure/renewables schemes across the UK.
Projects currently include strategic urban extensions, large-scale residential developments, town centre regeneration, mixed-use masterplans, and selected infrastructure and energy schemes.
The Role
As a Senior to Principal EIA Consultant, you will play a key role in managing and delivering impact assessment projects from inception through to submission.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Leading and coordinating EIA projects, particularly for major development schemes
*Acting as primary author and editor of Environmental Statements and related documentation
*Managing multidisciplinary inputs and reviewing specialist technical chapters
*Liaising with clients, design teams, planning authorities and consultees
*Overseeing project programmes, budgets and invoicing
*Supporting fee proposals, tender submissions and business development activities
*Attending networking and industry engagement events
About You
You will be degree qualified in environmental science or a related discipline and bring:
*Approximately 4+ years’ experience within a consultancy environment
*A strong track record of delivering proportionate EIAs on complex UK projects
*Solid understanding of EIA Regulations and the UK planning system
*Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards chartership)
*Excellent written, analytical and organisational skills
*A proactive, commercially aware and detail-focused approach
