Legal Secretary Leeds/ Harrogate £28,000
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and reliable Legal Secretary to join a busy and professional legal practice. This role involves providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners while ensuring efficient day-to-day office operations.
Key Responsibilities*Audio typing and document preparation
*Liaising with clients both in person and over the phone
*Communicating with internal and external contacts
*Providing reception cover as required
*Filing and general administrative duties
*Photocopying and document management
*Handling payments, including processing cheques and cash requests
*Managing client matters in line with regulatory and quality standards
*Supporting a safe and compliant working environment
*Assisting with the improvement of office procedures
*Ensuring adherence to equality and diversity policies
*Undertaking additional duties as required
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Attributes
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Excellent word processing and typing ability
*Good literacy and numeracy skills
*Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Desirable Skills & Experience
*Previous experience as a Legal Secretary
*Experience in a reception or client-facing role
*Familiarity with legal software and office systems
