Job Description:
Role: General Manager
Location: Brighton
Hours: Full time (including evenings and weekends)
Pay: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, an established and innovative events and entertainment venue, in Brighton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced venue or events professional to oversee operations, lead a team, and drive the commercial success of a high-profile venue environment.

The Requirements:
*Minimum 5 years’ experience managing events, venues, or similar operations
*At least 3 years’ experience leading and managing teams
*Strong knowledge of venue operations, licensing, and event management
*Experience managing budgets and commercial performance
*Confident IT user including Microsoft Office and shared file systems
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
The Role:
*Oversee all aspects of venue operations including events, customer experience, safety, and compliance
*Lead and manage the venue team, ensuring clear communication and collaborative working
*Drive commercial performance and support new business opportunities
*Manage contractors and service providers including security, production, welfare, and cleaning teams
*Monitor event performance and implement improvements to maximise efficiency and customer experience
*Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and industry regulations
*Manage budgets and monitor financial performance against forecasts
*Oversee venue documentation including risk assessments, safety procedures, and operational policies
*Build relationships with promoters, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful event delivery
