SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone with robust behaviour management skills and experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide tailored support to students with SEN, focusing on SEMH.
*Implement behaviour management strategies effectively to foster a positive learning environment.
*Work closely with the teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
*Assist in the development of social skills and positive classroom behaviour.
*Monitor and support the progress of students, adapting to their individual needs.
*Engage with students to build trust and rapport, encouraging their social and academic development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong experience in managing challenging behaviours and supporting vulnerable students.
*Enhanced DBS check.
*Proven track record of working effectively with SEN students, particularly those with SEMH.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
