One of the world’s leading sports branding and management companies is looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join its high-performing group finance team. With a globally recognised name in the sporting world, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced business operating at the very top of its game.
This role is ideal for a finance or accounting graduate currently working in a finance-focused position, looking to take the next step in their career within an exciting and prestigious industry.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the group finance function in the preparation of statutory accounts
*Perform monthly and quarterly bank and intercompany reconciliations
*Assist in the production of financial reports for senior management
*Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting
*Liaise with external auditors, resolving queries and investigating any anomalies
*Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments
*Support year-end processes, including audit file preparation
*Assist with VAT returns and compliance requirements
About You
*Finance/Accounting graduate with relevant practical experience
*Currently working in a role involving accounts preparation and month-end close
*Exposure to journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
*Experience with foreign currencies (desirable)
*Background in sports, media, or entertainment sectors (advantageous)
*Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
*Intermediate Excel skills
