This Audit & Accounts Semi Senior role offers a clear focus on accounts work, balanced with audit experience. With a split of approximately 70% accounts preparation and 30% audit, you’ll be able to develop a strong technical foundation while progressing towards full ACA qualification.
What you’ll be doing*Preparing statutory accounts for SMEs with growing independence (around 70% of your time)
*Drafting disclosures and supporting schedules for financial statements
*Identifying and resolving routine accounting issues
*Leading assigned audit sections, including substantive testing and documentation (around 30% of your time)
*Producing high-quality working papers with clear reasoning
*Supporting and mentoring junior team members
*Communicating directly with clients to gather information and answer queries
What we’re looking for*Part-qualified ACA with ongoing studies
*Some practice experience, ideally across both accounts and audit
*Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients effectively
*Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
*Desire to take ownership and develop within the accountancy profession
