Management Accountant
£50,000 | 5 Days On-Site | Modern Offices | Alfreton
A well-established business is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a key role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to provide accurate financial insight and support commercial decision-making.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a central role in delivering timely financial reporting and driving performance analysis across the business. You’ll collaborate with operational teams to ensure financial data is clear, meaningful, and supports business growth.
Key Responsibilities
*Produce monthly management accounts, including reconciliations, reporting, and board packs
*Deliver accurate financial reporting and MI within agreed deadlines
*Support year-end processes, audits, and statutory compliance (including VAT)
*Oversee sales ledger processes and monitor cash flow performance
*Develop and maintain costing models to track operational performance
*Analyse results against budgets and forecasts, providing clear variance analysis
*Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding and decision-making
*Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement of financial processes
About You
*Fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA), Qualified by Experience (QBE) or Part Qualified with relevant experience
*Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
*Advanced Excel skills and confident across Microsoft Office
*Experience producing management accounts in a fast-paced environment
*Able to meet deadlines and manage workload under pressure
*Strong analytical and numerical skills
*Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments
