Reed Education are seeking a committed and proactive Full-Time Teaching Assistant to support students within a secondary-age specialist provision. This role will begin immediately after the Easter break and will run on a full-time basis.
About the RoleYou will be supporting students aged 11–16 who may present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs. The role involves working closely with teaching staff to promote positive engagement, emotional regulation, and academic progression across a range of secondary subjects.
Key Responsibilities*Supporting teaching and learning within Key Stages 3 and 4
*Providing 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs
*Assisting with behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement
*Helping deliver personalised learning plans and interventions
*Encouraging pupil participation in both academic and practical subjects
*Collaborating with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals
*Contributing to a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Ideal Candidate*Experience working with secondary-age pupils, particularly those with SEMH or behavioural needs
*Confident supporting a range of curriculum areas at KS3 and KS4
*Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate young people
*Calm, resilient, and solution-focused approach
*Able to follow guidance and adapt to complex or changing situations
*Passionate about helping students develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits
