Job Title: Private Client Administrator
Location: Basildon
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time
Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Centralised Private Client Administrator to support our Private Client team across the firm. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of administrative processes relating to private client matters, providing consistent support to fee earners and delivering an excellent client experience.
Key Responsibilities
*Providing administrative support across the Private Client department, including:
*Opening and closing client files in line with compliance procedures
*Preparing standard documents and correspondence (e.g. wills, LPAs, probate forms)
*Assisting with the submission of applications to HMRC and the Probate Registry
*Managing incoming and outgoing post, emails, and telephone enquiries
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and case management systems
*Supporting fee earners with billing processes, file reviews, and document management
*Coordinating appointments, meetings, and client communications
*Assisting with compliance requirements, including ID checks and anti-money laundering procedures
*Liaising with clients, third parties, and internal teams in a professional and timely manner
*Ensuring adherence to firm policies, procedures, and regulatory standard
Key Requirements
*Previous administrative experience within a legal or professional services environment (Private Client experience desirable)
*Familiarity with wills, probate, and estate administration processes (advantageous)
*Strong organisational and time management skills
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

*Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
*Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
*High level of confidentiality and discretion
*Adaptability and willingness to learn
