Interim Financial Accountant | Luxury Retail Scale-Up | London/Hybrid


Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth international consumer business in their search for an Interim Financial Accountant on a 6 month contract, who has strong experience supporting with ERP implementation/projects.


The business has seen significant global expansion and is now entering a key phase of finance transformation, including the rollout of a new ERP system. This role will play a central part in both maintaining robust financial reporting and supporting system and process improvements as the organisation continues to scale.


This opportunity will suit someone with strong technical accounting fundamentals who also enjoys improving processes, driving efficiencies, and being involved in finance systems change.


The Role


Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the integrity of financial reporting across multiple revenue streams, while also playing a key role in enhancing finance processes and supporting ERP implementation activity.


You will work closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, and commercial teams, ensuring accurate reporting while helping embed more efficient and scalable ways of working.


Key Responsibilities


*Support the delivery of the month-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
*Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and controlled
*Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
*Monitor cash positions and support day-to-day treasury and banking activities
*Contribute to the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reporting
*Support audit processes, preparing schedules and working closely with external auditors
*Assist with VAT and tax-related processes, ensuring compliance and timely submission
*Play a key role in the implementation and integration of a new ERP system, ensuring alignment with finance processes and reporting requirements e.g. testing
*Support the optimisation and automation of workflows as part of wider finance transformation initiatives
*Provide ad hoc analysis and support to senior finance stakeholders


What We Need to See (Essential)


*Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
*Strong experience in a financial accounting role, with exposure to month-end and statutory reporting
*Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-entity or international environment
*Exposure to ERP implementations or finance systems change (ideally D365)


Day Rate: £400-£475 per day


Contract Length: Initial 6 months
