About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join a specialist primary setting supporting children with Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Speech & Language Needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, delivering tailored education and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
*Lead the day-to-day teaching and care of a class of pupils with SEN
*Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and achievements
*Provide strong pastoral support to pupils
*Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and external professionals
*Line manage and support Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) within the classroom
*Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement
*Prepare reports for Annual Reviews and maintain accurate student records
*Participate in school activities including PE, swimming, and enrichment programmes
About YouWe are looking for someone who:
*Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*Has experience working with SEN, particularly ASD or complex needs
*Is confident managing a classroom with additional support staff
*Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
*Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
*Is flexible, proactive, and a strong team player
The EnvironmentThis role involves working in a specialist setting, which may include:
*Supporting pupils with personal care needs
*Assisting with medical or therapeutic programmes (training provided)
*Participating in physical activities (e.g. PE, swimming)
*Working in a hands-on, dynamic classroom environment
