Fabricator / Welder - Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Sittingbourne * Hours: Mon-Fri, 47.5 hrs * Salary: Competitive
A busy industrial workshop is looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to support plant, machinery, and site equipment. This role involves fabrication, welding repairs, and both planned and reactive maintenance. Mainly workshop-based with some yard and occasional off-site work.
Key Responsibilities*Fabricate and repair bins, containers, and industrial equipment
*Carry out PPM and breakdown repairs on heavy machinery
*Perform MIG and MMA welding on a variety of metals
*Interpret and produce technical drawings
*Work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment
*Support and mentor a workshop apprentice
What You’ll Need*Strong experience as a Fabricator/Welder in industrial or heavy engineering
*Skills in MIG, MMA, and stainless steel welding
*Ability to read/produce technical drawings
*Practical, safety-focused approach and ability to work independently
Desirable*NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding
*Experience in waste, recycling, or heavy industrial sectors
*Full UK driving licence
