MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our industry leading manufacturing client in their search for a multiskilled maintenance technician.
The business is in the Middlesborough area and will be looking to appoint their chosen applicant ASAP.

The Job you will do:
*Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance
*Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and carry out timely repairs
*Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and production disruption
*Conduct inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems
*Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used
*Follow health and safety regulations and always ensure a safe working environment
*Install, test, and commission new equipment or system upgrades
*Work with tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to complete tasks efficiently
*Collaborate with other departments, contractors, or engineers to resolve complex issues
*Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components
About you:
*It is essential that you are a time served engineer, holding a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
*Ideally you will hold an 18th edition qualification, however this is not essential.
*You will have a robust understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
*It is essential that you can perform basic PLC fault finding.
*Flexible to work over the weekend if needed.
*Ideally you will be from a high paced manufacturing background, but this not essential.
