About the RoleA welcoming primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who is confident delivering the KS1 curriculum and supporting pupils through the key transition into more formal learning.
Role Responsibilities*Teach and manage a Year 2 class full time
*Deliver well-structured lessons that promote progress across all core areas
*Prepare pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments
*Monitor, track, and report on pupil progress
*Work collaboratively with the KS1 team to ensure a consistent teaching approach
Candidate Requirements*Experience teaching KS1 (Year 2 experience desirable but not essential)
*Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for KS1
*QTS required – ECTs and fully qualified teachers encouraged to apply
*A calm, organised, and supportive teaching style
*Commitment to providing a positive learning environment
