Nurture Teaching Assistant (Primary School)Location: Blackburn
Hours: Full Time(Term Time)
Start Date: September
Pay- £ Per Hour depending on experince.
We are seeking a caring, resilient and dedicated Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Blackburn on a Full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional emotional, social and behavioural support to access learning successfully.
The RoleAs a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Work closely with individual pupils and small groups across the primary age range
*Support children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
*Help pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive relationships
*Deliver nurture-based interventions in line with the school’s nurture provision
*Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
*Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
*Has experience working with children in a primary or nurture/SEMH setting
*Demonstrates a calm, patient and empathetic approach
*Understands attachment, trauma-informed practice and nurture principles (desirable)
*Has strong communication and teamwork skills
*Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
