Job Title: Book Keeper Accounts
Reporting to: Director
Location: Birmingham city Centre
Salary: £14 - £18 per (DOE)
Type: Permanent (Part time only)
Hours: 16 - 20 hours max
Start: ASAP
Job Description
Responsibilities
*Maintaining firm’s accounts and for managing cash movement (including VAT accounts, client account and business account).
*Preparing Quarterly Cash Flow Analysis
*Client and business banking including inputting invoices and sending out cheques and BACS payments.
*Preparing wages and VAT returns.
*Posting financial entries and maintaining relevant copies of bookkeeping entries within the filing and accounts system.
*Assisting the Accountant as required by photocopying documents as required.
*Assisting other members of staff with particular problems relating to accounts queries on cases.
*Conducting various ad-hoc analysis for senior management.
*Attending relevant training as required.
*Maintaining full knowledge of and adhere to the requirements of the rules and the accounting requirements of the SRA’s Standards and Regulations and SRA Accounts Rules.
*Occasionally assisting with client queries and requests.

*Written and oral communication skills
*Excellent IT skills and proficiency with INSIGHT (case management system)
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
Knowledge
*SRA Standards and Regulations and SRA Accounts Rules (Desired NOT essential)
*Accounting and Financial procedures
Experience
*The Institute of Legal Finance & Management (ILFM) accredited Legal Cashier
*Previous experience of working in a law firm
