Job Description:
Welder (Sub Arc)
Location: Livingston
Salary: £31,991 + £7,997 shift allowance (Total £39,989)
Hours: 37 per week (shift rotation)
We are recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a leading manufacturing environment. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for welding, fabrication, and repair work across plant equipment and tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
*Carry out welding and fabrication repairs on presses, furnaces, machine tools, and dies
*Operate and set up Sub Arc welding equipment
*Work with a range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, and high carbon steels
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
*Support plant maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement initiatives
*Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
Requirements:
*Time-served Welder with Sub Arc welding experience
*Strong fabrication skills and experience in industrial environments
*Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions
*Knowledge of safe working practices
*Flexible approach and ability to work shifts
Desirable:
*Experience in heavy manufacturing or forging environments
*Burning/lancing experience
