Job Description:
Electrical Technician
Location: Livingston
Salary: £31,991 + £7,997 shift allowance (Total £39,989)
Hours: 37 per week (shift rotation)
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a leading manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining plant equipment and ensuring maximum uptime across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive electrical maintenance
*Diagnose faults and repair plant equipment including presses, furnaces, and machinery
*Perform electrical installations, inspections, and testing
*Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
*Support continuous improvement and predictive maintenance activities
*Ensure high standards of health, safety, and compliance
Requirements:
*Time-served Electrician (City & Guilds / Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
*Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
*Experience in industrial electrical maintenance environments
*Knowledge of medium voltage systems and maintenance programmes
*Ability to read technical drawings and use test equipment
*Flexible approach and ability to work shifts
Desirable:
*Experience in heavy manufacturing or production environments
