Job Description:
A fast-growing online home retailer is looking for a commercially driven Senior Buyer to join their team and play a key role in shaping future product ranges and driving seasonal performance.

The Role
As Senior Buyer, you’ll take ownership of product strategy and seasonal performance - combining data insight, market awareness, and strong supplier relationships to deliver compelling, commercially successful ranges.
You’ll lead and develop a team across Buying and Merchandising, ensuring products are delivered on time, on trend, and at the right price point.

Key Responsibilities
*Analyse sales performance, identifying opportunities and taking decisive action on best and worst performers
*Lead, manage, and develop a team of Buyers, Merchandisers, and Assistants to deliver against key deadlines
*Build and execute seasonal buying strategies based on data, trends, and market insight
*Develop and source product ranges in line with customer demand and commercial targets
*Manage supplier relationships, including direct negotiation with Far East factories
*Ensure all product launches are delivered on time and aligned with trading plans
*Conduct competitor and market analysis across retail and online platforms
*Work cross-functionally with Ecommerce, Marketing, and Social teams to support campaigns and launches

About You
*Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer within Home, Textiles or Fashion
*Strong commercial awareness with a deep understanding of value retail
*Confident in analysing data and translating insights into actionable strategies
*Experienced in supplier negotiation and managing international supply chains
*A natural leader, able to motivate and develop high-performing teams
*Highly organised with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
*Creative, trend-aware, and passionate about product
*Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
