Job Description:
We’re recruiting exclusively on behalf of a long-standing, highly respected client for a Logistics Manager to take full ownership of a major outsourced transport contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on supplier management, performance improvement, and commercial control across a fast-paced logistics operation.
In this key role, you’ll be the central link between transport partners, internal teams, and senior stakeholders ensuring service excellence, cost efficiency, and smooth day-to-day delivery performance. You’ll also lead and support one team member responsible for operational logistics coordination.
What you’ll be doing:
*Managing relationships with a national outsourced carrier and ensuring top-tier service levels
*Leading contract reviews, performance meetings, and supporting negotiations
*Tracking and analysing KPIs, costs, and service data to spot trends and drive improvements
*Investigating service issues and ensuring swift, effective resolutions
*Reviewing transport invoices, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting budgeting
*Overseeing transport compliance, supplier assurance, and import/export documentation

*Strong background in supplier or contract management
*Confident analysing KPIs, cost data, and operational performance
*Commercially astute with the ability to challenge and influence when needed
*Excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
