Job Description:
This role delivers statutory reporting, manages external audits, maintains financial controls, and ensures compliance with accounting standards. It supports budgeting, financial analysis, and decision-making while improving finance systems and processes.

Key Requirements
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
*Experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and external audit
*Strong knowledge of financial controls, accounting standards, and tax (VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE/NI)
*Skilled in financial reporting, analysis, and Excel
*Ability to manage budgets and support financial decision-making
*Experience with financial systems; Not-for-Profit experience helpful
*High attention to detail, strong organisation, and problem-solving skills
*Effective communicator and team collaborator
*Proactive, adaptable, and committed to ongoing development
*Professional approach with commitment to equality, inclusion, and safeguarding
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare statutory financial statements and reports
*Lead the external audit process and manage auditor relationships
*Produce balance-sheet reporting and support budgeting and forecasting
*Conduct financial analysis to inform decisions
*Oversee financial transactions, reconciliations, and controls
*Approve key finance activities and support process improvements
*Complete statutory and regulatory filings, including VAT
*Provide financial insights and reports to internal teams and committees
*Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors and financial institutions
*Support senior finance leadership when required
*Contribute to finance projects and improvements
*Provide guidance to colleagues on financial processes
*Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and professional standards
