We are seeking a skilled Workshop Sprayer to join a successful manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying protective coatings and finishes to wooden surfaces, ensuring quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail, can work to deadlines and a strong aptitude to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment and to work as part of a small team.
Duties
*Prepare wooden surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking prior to spraying
*Apply basecoat, primer & lacquer finishes
*Operate spray equipment efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and colour specifications
*Mix primers, and coatings accurately based on technical instructions
*Maintain and clean spray equipment regularly to ensure performance
*Assist with assembly and masking of parts as required for coating processes
*Handle heavy lifting of components safely during preparation and finishing stages
*Assist with the workshop should the need arise
Experience
*Proven experience in wood preparation essential, spray painting or coating applications within a workshop or industrial setting
*Application knowledge with the ability to interpret technical specifications
*Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
*Experience working with moving heavy items
*A knowledge of various wood types and joinery would is highly desirable
This role requires a dedicated individual who can ensure that all finished items leave the workshop demonstrating outstanding quality.
Working 45hrs per week with additional hours available, on-site parking and profit share based on company performance. A method of transport is preferred due to limited public transport links.
This role is 12 week temporary-permanent position, with candidates being taken on after completing the successful period.
