Customer Service Advisor
Bournemouth | £24,750 rising to £26,250 after probation
Full Time | 08:30–17:00 | 1 in 10 Saturdays (09:00–12:00)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and growing team within the waste management industry, where no two days are the same.
The Role
As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll play a key part in ensuring customers receive a smooth and efficient service. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will act as the main point of contact for client and supplier queries, providing timely, accurate and professional support.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle incoming calls, resolving queries or directing them to the correct department
• Understand customer needs and provide clear support and advice
• Escalate issues to supervisors/management where required
• Manage and complete daily issues through Filemaker and ensure all parties are updated
• Liaise with suppliers regarding service issues and follow up on resolutions
• Maintain accurate customer notes and store documentation correctly
• Monitor bag deliveries and update purchase orders
• Manage shared inbox emails, responding appropriately or allocating to the relevant team
• Process customer credits when services have been missed and credits confirmed
• Source emergency suppliers when needed and ensure their compliance documentation is valid
• Update customer records, including contact details and location changes (excluding alternative address moves)
• Complete daily allocated tasks such as monitoring, future actions, voicemails and surveys
• Support the management team with ad-hoc projects
Working Hours & Benefits
• Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00
• 1 in 10 Saturdays, 09:00–12:00
• Starting salary £24,750, rising to £26,250 upon successful probation (3–6 months)
• 23 days holiday, increasing by 1 day each year after your first full year (up to an additional 5 days)
