Job Description:
We are working closely with a Darlington business to appoint an Assistant Accountant. This is a newly created position to support steady growth and help promote analytical and strategic insight.
You will be working closely among the finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in processing CIS and reverse-charge VAT.
Responsibilities to include:
*Processing CIS
*Reverse charge VAT
*Daily cashflow reporting
*Preparing accounts up to trial balance; Posting ledgers, banking and reconciliations and VAT calculations
*Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
*Supporting the wider finance team
*Covering ledger and transactional duties as and when required
Requirements/Experience:
*Experience processing CIS
*Experience with reverse charging VAT
*AAT L3/4 or PQ CIMA/ACCA preferable
*Must be capable and confident in speaking up and challenging processes
*Be a team player and a great communicator
