About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive primary school team. This role involves working closely with children who have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.


Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse SEN needs
*Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
*Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
*Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
*Support pupils with personal care where required
*Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff
*Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents


About YouWe are looking for someone who:
*Has experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting)
*Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
*Has strong communication and teamwork skills
*Can adapt to the individual needs of each child
*Is proactive and able to use initiative
*Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Desirable (but not essential):
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant)
*Experience with autism or SEMH needs
*Knowledge of behaviour support strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton, or Team Teach)
