Job Description:
We are looking for a caring, patient and highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted support for children with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.

Salary: £14.30 - £15 per hour
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs
*Implement personalised learning strategies and interventions
*Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development
*Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and external professionals
*Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs
*Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to help them thrive
*Contribute to observations, progress records and support plans
*Maintain a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Essential Requirements
*Experience working with children with SEN
*A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Ability to follow guidance and use initiative when required
*Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
*A genuine desire to make a difference in children’s lives
Desirable
*Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language or other specific needs
*Knowledge of EHCP processes or SEN support strategies
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
