People Projects Manager – Corporate Services
Location: Nottingham 3 days in the office
Salary £49/£52K

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced People Projects Manager to lead and deliver complex, organisation-wide HR and people-focused projects — including a major Target Operating Model transformation with TUPE implications.
As a key member of the People Leadership Team, you’ll build trusted relationships, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure successful, compliant, and people-centred project outcomes. You’ll be the technical escalation point for our People Advisors and Assistants, helping drive continuous improvement and best practice across the organisation.
This role offers exposure to high-impact change initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to shape the future of our people experience.
Lead end-to-end scoping, design, and delivery of People projects.
Manage TUPE processes and ensure legal compliance through transitions and acquisitions.
Develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, and resource planning.
Track project progress, provide updates, highlight risks, and recommend solutions.
Analyse people data to identify trends, generate insights, and drive improvements.
Build strong, influential relationships with stakeholders and trade union representatives.
Provide specialist HR project guidance and support across the People team.
Coach and develop managers on ER and project-related processes.
Maintain and own the People Project Management Tracker and produce key reports.
Champion best practice, policy improvements, and innovation across HR processes.
We’re looking for someone who is:
A strong communicator and influencer, confident working at pace with senior stakeholders.
Analytical, commercially aware, and able to navigate complex ER and TUPE-related issues.
Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Creative and solutions-focused, with a passion for delivering meaningful change.
Able to balance big-picture thinking with exceptional attention to detail.
Empathetic and confident in handling challenging conversations.
Collaborative and a natural relationship-builder.
Minimum 5 years’ project management experience (end-to-end project lifecycle).
Strong experience managing TUPE processes and working in a unionised environment.
CIPD qualification (or equivalent) with in-depth knowledge of employment law.
Proven ability to analyse complex people data and translate it into actionable insights.
Experience coaching and advising managers through change programmes.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Confident using Microsoft Excel and Office 365 collaboration tools.
Experience handling ET/ACAS cases and working with legal/union partners.
