Architectural Technician
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £32-36,000
A well-established, design-focused architectural practice in Cambridge is seeking a talented Architectural Technician to join its friendly and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of medium to large-scale projects across the residential, commercial, retail, leisure and heritage sectors throughout the South and East of England. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting projects from early design through to on-site delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
*Produce accurate technical drawings, specifications and comprehensive construction packages
*Assist with planning applications and technical submissions
*Develop and coordinate drawing packages across multiple RIBA work stages
*Collaborate closely with consultants, contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth project coordination
*Support project delivery while maintaining compliance with current UK Building Regulations and standards
*Attend site visits and project meetings when required
Requirements:
*Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
*Previous experience working within a UK architectural practice
*Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction techniques
*Demonstrated ability to produce detailed technical drawings across various project stages
*Excellent communication skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach
*Proficiency in Revit and other industry-standard software
