Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled)

*Job Type: Permanent, immediate start available and no call outs
*Salary: Up to £18.50 per hour, Overtime: £27.75 per hour (time and a half) - depending on experience
*Hours: Monday to Friday - 39 hours per week, with a 12.00 mid-day finish on Fridays
*Free on-site car parking


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to coverall all site maintenance including machine maintenance and breakdowns.
This hands-on role involves working with a variety of engineering machinery, addressing breakdowns, and following monthly maintenance schedules. While both mechanical and electrical skills are required, this role will primarily focus on mechanical tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
*Maintain various site machinery, including Machine Shop Mills, Lathes, Drills, and Sheet-Metal & Fabricating machines.
*Assemble and fit new equipment.
*Perform electrical works around the site.
*Handle plumbing tasks.
*Cover general site maintenance and breakdowns.
*Uphold quality engineering standards in the factory and on-site.
*Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, discipline, attendance, and punctuality standards.


Working Hours:
*Monday: 7:30 am- 4:00 pm
*Tuesday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
*Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
*Friday: 7:30 am - 12:00 noon (unless working overtime)


Overtime:
*Generally available and paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
