Macildowie are working with this client based in Enderby who are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their established finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. Working Arrangement: Office-based, Monday to Friday
The Role:
You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounts payable function, leading a team of clerks and ensuring that processes are delivered accurately and efficiently. With a supplier base of over 3,500, this role requires a proactive and driven individual with strong leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead, manage and motivate the Accounts Payable team to deliver high-quality service.
*Oversee the purchase ledger from invoice receipt through to payment, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
*Take responsibility for cash flow management, optimising supplier payment terms.
*Resolve disputes and complex queries with suppliers, demonstrating effective problem-solving skills.
*Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
*Support the business with key projects and process improvements.
About You:
*Proven management experience within Accounts Payable or similar finance leadership roles.
*Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Confident with financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
*Self-motivated, with the ability to lead by example.
