Job Description:
Quest Search & Selection is currently recruiting for a Buying Manager - Branded Sportswear. This position will own key fashion and sports brand relationships, driving the long-term strategy and commercial success of the category, while leading and supporting brand partnerships.
The business is a fast-growing omnichannel retailer, working with some of the top-tier global branded and own-label partners across the UK and internationally.
Roles and Responsibilities - Buying Manager, Branded Sportswear*Own and lead strategic relationships with assigned fashion and sports brands, acting as the senior point of contact.
*Nurture and grow existing relationships with key brand partners.
*Manage a team of three direct reports and support staff.
*Lead long-term category and brand strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
*Drive category performance reviews with brand partners, including collaboration on key strategic initiatives.
*Manage financial performance, KPI tracking, and market reporting of the brands within specific fashion categories.
*Work closely with brands to develop ranges, negotiate contracts, and source new products aligned to regional and customer profiles.
*Partner with commercial teams on budgets, product mix, distribution strategy, and negotiations.
*Lead cross-functional initiatives and help standardise ways of working across the business.
Requirements - Buying Manager, Branded Sportswear*8+ years’ experience in buying, wholesale, B2B commercial partnerships, or category management.
*You must have sportswear experience
*Operating at Head of, Senior Buyer, Buying Manager, or Category Manager level (looking for a step-up to Head of level).
*Proven experience managing a team.
*Strong track record of building and scaling brand partnerships.
*Highly collaborative, with experience translating strategy into execution across cross-functional teams.
*Strong analytical capability, with experience interpreting commercial data, developing KPIs, and driving data-led decisions.
*Flexibility to travel between head office, suppliers, and stores as required.
