Description
As an Audit Senior, you’ll play a key role on audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with the high audit standards expected of a Top 10 practice. You’ll manage day-to-day client relationships, supervise and coach junior colleagues, and work closely with managers and partners on complex or high-profile assignments.
Your focus will be on delivering high-quality audits, building trusted client relationships, and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture where everyone is supported to grow and succeed.
Key Responsibilities*Lead audit fieldwork on a range of clients across multiple sectors
*Support audit planning, risk assessments, and completion processes
*Review work prepared by trainees, providing coaching and constructive feedback
*Build strong client relationships and respond proactively to technical queries
*Prepare high-quality working papers, ensuring compliance with standards and the firm’s Top 10 audit methodology
*Work closely with managers and partners on technically challenging or complex engagements
*Contribute to team development, sharing knowledge and supporting junior colleagues
*Identify opportunities to improve processes, add value, and support broader firm initiatives


Profile
*ACA / ACCA qualified or finalist with strong audit experience within practice
*Proven experience leading audit fieldwork and supervising junior staff
*Confident communicator able to build rapport with clients and colleagues
*Strong technical knowledge of audit standards, accounting frameworks, and risk management
*Organised, proactive, and able to manage workloads across multiple deadlines
*Team-focused, supportive, and committed to maintaining high audit quality
*Ambitious mindset with a desire to progress within a Top 10 firm with hybrid working culture
*Be able to commute to Manchester City Centre
