Temporary Customer Service Advisor – Housing Sector (Solihull Area)
Location: B37 (On-site)
Duration: Approx. 4 months
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Pay: £13.51–£14.88 PAYE / £17.10–£18.87 Umbrella per hour
We’re pleased to be recruiting for a fantastic temporary opportunity with one of our valued clients in the housing sector, based in the Solihull area. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident handling sensitive enquiries.
About the Role
You’ll be part of a busy and supportive contact centre team, dealing with a wide range of housing-related enquiries including repairs, rents, tenancy issues, and homelessness. A key part of your role will also involve improving the accuracy and completeness of customer data.
Key Responsibilities
*Make high volumes of outbound calls to verify customer information, including vulnerabilities, support needs, and household details.
*Conduct sensitive conversations to understand customer circumstances and required adjustments.
*Update and maintain customer records across multiple systems with accuracy.
*Deliver excellent customer service across phone, email, voicemail, and text, meeting agreed service-level standards.
*Manage fluctuating workloads across all enquiry types.
*Identify opportunities to improve services and support team performance.
*Carry out outbound activity in line with team objectives and organisational policies.
*Adhere to Health & Safety responsibilities and report concerns appropriately.

*Strong background in customer service
*Confident communication skills across all channels
*Excellent data accuracy and system proficiency
*Ability to resolve queries at first contact
*Reliable, professional, and team-focused
Desirable
*Experience within housing, public sector, or contact centre environments
