Job Description:
Robert Half has partnered with a Normanton based business to recruit for an Assistant Accountant.
Location: Normanton | Type: Full-time, on-site
Our client is a well-established, regulated business operating at significant scale across the UK. They are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance function on a permanent basis.
The Role
You will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, with responsibilities including:
*Preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts
*Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
*Assisting with internal and external audits
*Collaborating with wider departments to ensure compliance with financial policies
*Contributing to the ongoing accuracy and efficiency of financial systems
What We’re Looking For
*Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation
*Experience with accounting software, ideally SAGE 200, and strong Excel skills
*AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or actively studying towards a relevant qualification
*High attention to detail with strong organisational and communication skills
*Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
