Job Description:
Cash flow doesn’t manage itself, it needs direction, control, and someone who knows how to keep everything moving.
This Billing Manager role is about taking ownership of the end-to-end billing and receivables function, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and ultimately, that revenue turns into cash efficiently.
You won’t just be overseeing processes and you’ll be shaping them, leading a team, and working across the business to keep billing operations running smoothly as the organisation continues to evolve.
What you’ll be responsible for:
*Managing the full billing cycle, from invoice generation through to cash allocation
*Leading and developing a team responsible for billing and accounts receivable activities
*Handling escalated billing queries, adjustments, and reconciliations with confidence
*Monitoring debtor balances and implementing strategies to improve collection performance
*Collaborating with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies
*Reviewing existing workflows and introducing improvements to enhance efficiency and control
*Supporting system changes, upgrades, and integrations impacting billing processes
*Ensuring smooth and accurate period-end close from a billing perspective
*Producing insights and reports on billing performance, cash collection, and potential risks
*Playing a key role in ongoing finance improvement initiatives
What they’re looking for:
*Experience managing or supervising a billing, receivables, or transactional finance function
*Strong knowledge of invoicing, cash collection, and reconciliation processes
*Confidence working with stakeholders across different departments
*Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis
*Familiarity with finance systems and process-driven environments
*Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced setting
*Experience supporting business change or system implementation is beneficial
