Job Description:
Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Thetford. Due to the location, candidates must have their own transport.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a supervisory role within a busy and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:*Supervise the loading and unloading of lorries, ensuring goods are packaged and secured correctly
*Optimise loads for maximum space and weight efficiency
*Count, check, and sign off goods in and out
*Prioritise workloads in line with delivery and production schedules
*Liaise with Logistics, Warehouse, Sales, and Production Planning teams to ensure order accuracy
*Coordinate with delivery drivers, providing paperwork, itineraries, tools, and instructions
*Maintain security of lorries, keys, and the dispatch area
*Uphold Health & Safety standards, ensuring fire exits and workspaces are kept clear
*Assist with additional Warehouse and Production duties as required
Requirements:*Previous warehouse or supervisory experience preferred but not essential
*Strong organisational and communication skills
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
*Own transport is essential due to location
