Job Description:
Our client, a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA), is currently seeking a Mechanical Instructor to join their team in Hull. The organisation provides engineering apprenticeships and adult skills training to numerous companies in Yorkshire and Humberside.
Key Responsibilities:*Delivering high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training in mechanical engineering
*Conducting training sessions in mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
*Instructing on the operation of lathe and milling machines
*Teaching the safe use of hand tools
*Providing training in hydraulics or pneumatics
*Ensuring compliance with health & safety practices and procedures
*Utilising chemical process industry knowledge and/or CAD if applicable
*Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards
Job Requirements:*Experience in mechanical engineering
*Knowledge of mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
*Experience operating lathe and milling machines
*Familiarity with hydraulics or pneumatics
*Proficiency in health & safety practices and procedures
*Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification
*Good interpersonal and computer skills
*Full driving licence
*Knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD (desirable)
