Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Textiles Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Liverpool area. Please see below for further details:
Textiles Teacher
*Location - Liverpool, L12
*Position - Textiles Teacher
*Start date - April 2026
*Full time/part time - Full time
*Minimum rate of pay - Paid to scale
*Hours - 8:00 am - 16:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Development & Delivery:Planning and delivering engaging textiles lessons, including a range of topics
*Practical Instruction:Demonstrating techniques using a range of resources
*Student Assessment:Setting, marking, and recording student work, and providing constructive feedback.
*Health & Safety:Maintaining a safe classroom environment, managing machinery, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
*Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students’ overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
*Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
*Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*Previous experience working with young people in a school setting
*Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
*Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
*Provide two professional references/cover 24 months worked
