Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Southport area to cover maternity leave. Please see below for further details:
Spanish Teacher
*Location - Southport, PR8
*Position - Spanish Teacher
*Start date - April 2026
*Full time/part time - Full time, covering maternity leave
*Minimum rate of pay - Paid to scale
*Hours - 8:00 am - 16:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Designing lesson plans aligned with standards, teaching grammar, and vocabulary
*Setting and marking classwork, homework, and exams; tracking progress to identify areas for improvement.
*Maintaining a positive, encouraging and safe environment.
*Reporting progress to parents, attending staff meetings, and collaborating with departments.
*Staying current with teaching techniques and curriculum changes.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
*Fluency in Spanish
*Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*Previous experience working with young people in a school setting
*Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
*Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
*Provide two professional references/cover 24 months worked
