Job Description:
Systems AccountantLocation: Hybrid
Contract: 9 - 12 months
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and proactive Systems Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This is a key role focused on ensuring financial systems and processes are efficient, accurate, and fully optimised to support high-quality reporting and decision-making.
You will take ownership of the finance system, driving improvements, enhancing functionality, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities*Maintain and develop the chart of accounts aligned to reporting requirements
*Ensure strong system controls, including approvals and segregation of duties
*Deliver training and support to users across finance and the wider business
*Document and continuously improve financial processes and procedures
*Identify and implement system and process improvements
*Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
*Work closely with Finance, IT, and system stakeholders to drive improvements
*Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution
*Build relationships with external suppliers to maximise system performance
*Stay up to date with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
The role: 2-3 days onsite, rest from home
Circa £62K (pro rata)
