A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice is seeking a Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to join its close-knit team. This is a varied role combining bookkeeping for a broad client portfolio alongside accounts preparation for smaller unincorporated businesses, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build well-rounded experience within practice.
Role Responsibilities
*Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
*Working predominantly with cloud-based software such as Xero and QuickBooks.
*Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records.
*Assisting with the preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
*Supporting senior team members with basic accounts and compliance work.
*Liaising with clients to resolve queries and maintain strong working relationships.
*Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
Personal Requirements
*Previous experience in a bookkeeping or junior accounts role within practice.
*Working knowledge of Xero and/or QuickBooks.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Good communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
*A proactive and positive approach to learning and development.
*AAT studiers or those looking to begin/continue studies would be advantageous.
