Job Description:
Are you a CASS expert who thrives on fixing, shaping, and elevating?
Do you want to step into a role where your technical leadership genuinely transforms a team and protects a regulated business? If so — this is the opportunity.

We’re partnering with a respected financial services firm undergoing significant positive change. An exciting opportunity for specialists operating in this space.

Why This Role Matters
The Client Money & Custody (CASS) function sits at the heart of the operation. Every transaction. Every journal. Every process. It all flows into this team.
Our client business is committed to strengthening the function with an experienced, technically brilliant CASS Manager who can lead, teach, challenge, and improve.
You’ll be the bridge between the technical lead, the wider business, and the senior leadership team — and you’ll be trusted to make decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing
*Taking the lead on CASS 6 & CASS 7 — with a particular emphasis on deep CASS 7 (client money) expertise
*Working closely with the technical lead to uplift capability across a team with limited CASS experience
*Driving simplification, automation, better controls, and smarter ways of working (including AI-enabled improvements)
*Presenting confidently at committees and producing insightful dashboards/packs
*Acting as the "go-to" CASS expert for the business — advising, challenging, and collaborating to fix issues at source
*Being hands-on: supporting reconciliations, calculations, documentation, audits, and regulatory reviews
*Helping reshape process as the firm implements a new first-line/second-line operating model
What You’ll Need
*Extensive experience in CASS with strong command of CASS 7 (client money)
*Ideally experience across both CASS 6 and 7
*Full professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA), or The relevant CSI qualification to provide client money oversight
*Experience working with external auditors and regulators
*Ability to uplift a team, even if you’re not their direct line manager
*Strong analytical skills and PowerPoint/dashboard capability
*A problem-solver mindset — someone who "lives and breathes" CASS
*The confidence to hit the ground running in a complex, fast-moving environment
If you’re stepping up into your first senior CASS position, that’s absolutely fine — as long as your technical grounding is strong and you’re hungry to lead.

What’s in It for You?
*A business that wants change — and will empower you to drive it
*A supportive Head of Finance who will champion you
*Competitive salary and benefits
*Bonus scheme
*Hybrid working
*A real opportunity to reshape a core function, lift capability, and leave your mark on a major regulated environment
*Visibility with senior leaders and the chance to influence firm-wide improvement
This is perfect for someone who loves CASS, understands the weight of regulatory responsibility, and wants a role where they can genuinely transform a team and create stability.

It’s not for someone who’s "dabbled" in CASS. We need someone who owns it - could it be for you? Contact me for more details!
