Junior Solicitor - Private Client / Probate - Harrow, North London - £38k-£45k (DoE)
We are on the hunt of an ambitious individual looking to be undertake a Junior Solicitor role dealing with Private Client / Probate matters.
Joining a growing firm in Harrow, the Junior Solicitor will support the delivery of high-quality private client legal services under the supervision of an experienced solicitor. The role involves managing a varied caseload, developing strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the firm by assisting with client retention and business development.
Key responsibilities as the Junior Solicitor (Private Client / Probate) will include:
*Assisting in the drafting and administration of Wills, ensuring documents accurately reflect clients’ wishes and comply with current legislation
*Supporting and advising on Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning, including the preparation of IHT calculations and supporting documentation
*Undertaking work relating to the Administration of Estates
*Assisting with the creation and administration of Trusts
*Managing matters relating to Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) including drafting and registration
*Managing Court of Protection matters
*Acting as a key point of contact for clients and providing clear, practical and empathetic advice
*Assisting with initiatives to attract new clients
*Maintaining accurate files
*Adhering to regulatory and internal compliance requirements at all times
*Maintaining up-to-date knowledge through training and personal development
What we’re looking for:
*Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or due to qualify imminently)
*Experience in or demonstrable knowledge of training in Wills and Estate Planning, Inheritance Tax Planning (IHT), Administration of Estates, Trusts, Court of Protection matters, Lasting Powers of Attorney
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing demands
*A professional, client-focused approach
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Eagerness to learn and develop
*Happy to work in an office role, Monday to Friday
