Graduate Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Teachers - Westminster
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Pay: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience)
A respected secondary school in Westminster is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This position has been created for graduates who are actively considering teacher training and want sustained, high-quality classroom experience.
You’ll work closely with teaching staff across a range of subjects, gaining exposure to daily classroom practice within a structured and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students during lessons across the secondary curriculum
* Deliver focused intervention sessions where required
* Assist staff with lesson preparation and behaviour routines
* Encourage high expectations, engagement and progress
* Observe best practice in teaching and assessment
The Ideal Candidate:
* A graduate with a genuine interest in education
* Intending to apply for teacher training in the future
* Professional, proactive and reflective
* Experience with young people is advantageous but not essential
