Graduate Teaching Assistant - STEM Focus - Hounslow
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Pay: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience)
A forward-thinking secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a STEM-focused Graduate Teaching Assistant to join them from September. This role is ideal for graduates with an interest in Maths, Science or related subjects who are exploring a future career in education.
Working alongside experienced teachers, you’ll provide academic and pastoral support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, gaining valuable insight into teaching and learning in a secondary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support learning within Maths, Science and related subjects
* Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce key concepts
* Assist with lesson delivery, practical activities and classroom routines
* Encourage engagement, resilience and positive learning behaviours
* Develop an understanding of assessment and lesson structure
The Ideal Candidate:
* A graduate with a STEM background or strong subject interest
* Keen to progress into teacher training
* Reliable, enthusiastic and comfortable supporting adolescents
* Experience tutoring or mentoring is beneficial but not required
This role offers excellent preparation for teacher training and long-term progression within education.
