Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Essex / South East (with travel)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE + Uncapped Commission
The Opportunity
We are an established and growing recruitment business who is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support continued expansion across multiple sectors, including Sales and Industrial (temporary and permanent recruitment).
This is a key role focused on generating new business opportunities, developing existing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across a diverse client base.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities, while also maximising warm leads and existing relationships. The position requires a proactive, consultative approach and the ability to build long-term partnerships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
*Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and market research
*Develop and convert warm leads into active clients
*Build and manage long-term client relationships across multiple sectors
*Identify opportunities to cross-sell recruitment services (temporary and permanent)
*Attend client meetings and present recruitment solutions
*Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful fulfilment of vacancies
*Negotiate terms of business and commercial agreements
*Manage and maintain a strong sales pipeline
*Stay informed on market trends and hiring activity within key sectors
Requirements
*Proven experience in business development within the recruitment sector
*Strong track record of winning new business and developing client accounts
*Experience across industrial (temp) and/or sales recruitment is highly desirable
*Commercially aware with a results-driven mindset
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Self-motivated and able to work independently
*Full UK driving licence preferred
