About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, whether you are considering a career in teaching or seeking flexible work within education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will ensure students remain on task with the work set and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to students in the absence of the regular teacher
*Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
*Support students in completing assigned tasks
*Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
*Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times
Requirements:
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Confidence in managing groups of students aged 11–16
*Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
*A proactive and adaptable approach
*A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
