Job Description:
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of our growth programme, which is set to deliver circa 350 new build affordable homes p/y. Overseeing all active developments to meet key performance targets of time, cost, quality and working collaboratively to deliver a high quality service that meets our customers needs.

We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people.

Duties include:
*Provide detailed leadership on construction contracts, performance of contractors and consultants, construction methodology, risk and delivery solutions.
*Working closely with the Head of Delivery you will lead, develop and motivate the Delivery Team, providing professional leadership with a focus on providing high quality developments that meet the needs of customers.
*Ensure compliance with best practice, legislative and regulatory frameworks and leading on compliance in relation to construction/site health and safety and Homes England.
*Oversee the delivery of all active developments ensuring they meet all relevant performance indicators and in particular time, cost and quality. Working in close collaboration with other internal departments to deliver a coherent and high -quality service that meets customers’ needs.
*Support the Head of Delivery on all areas of development compliance including Homes England Capital Funding Guide and ensuring IMS is up to date and accurate.
*Support the Head of Delivery on the delivery of social value via our contracts to enhance neighbourhood development and support local communities.
*Establish and manage budgets for Delivery projects, using professional experience to maximise resource capacity and ensure efficient and effective use of such resources.
*Lead the Delivery Team to ensure schemes are built to the highest standards and where issues occur pre completion these are dealt with in a professional and timely manner that meets customers’ needs.
*Work jointly with the New Business, sales and assets functions to meet their strategic targets.


Requirements
*A degree level qualification in Housing or Development, or equivalent experience.
*Significant demonstratable experience of managing and leading a development function to achieve targets.
*Experience in social and private sector housing developments.
*Experience of working with Homes England and working in a regulatory environment.
*Managing Health and Safety and Compliance.
*Programme forecasting and financial forecasting.
*Initiative and a ’can do’ attitude; the ability to see a task through to conclusion and make appropriate recommendations for service improvements.
*Driving licence with access to own vehicle.
*Right to Work in the UK - Visa sponsorship is not available.
