Interim Finance Manager£240 per day or c. £60K FTE | Hybrid/On-site (London) | Immediate start
We are supporting an arts organisation in appointing an Interim Finance Manager to provide day-to-day management of financial accounting and operational finance functions during a period of transition.
This role will oversee the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, liaise closely with Payroll, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. You will also coordinate month-end and year-end processes, maintain robust financial controls, and support continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities*Manage AP/AR operations, including approvals, BACS runs, treasury planning, and supplier setup
*Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including audit deliverables and statutory accounts preparation
*Prepare and review tax returns, including VAT, Gift Aid, and other ad-hoc reporting
*Liaise with Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
*Oversee financial systems (accounting, supplier database, corporate cards), ensuring proper controls and compliance
*Support ad-hoc finance projects and initiatives as required
*Contribute to a positive departmental culture, mentoring junior team members where appropriate
About You*Strong experience managing finance operations, ideally in charity, arts, or not-for-profit sectors
*Hands-on experience with AP, AR, payroll, tax, and month-end/year-end processes
*Confident in using financial systems and maintaining robust internal controls
*Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
*Able to work on-site at least 3 days/week and collaborate with senior finance colleagues
