Yard / Warehouse Operative

Pay: £32,000 per annum

Due to growth, our client is looking to add a colleague to the Warehouse team at an established independent Builders merchant. They are currently looking for experienced Forklift Drivers to assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy yard / warehouse environment.
Job Specification: Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift truck, picking orders, and moving stock around the site. Picking orders accurately and in a timely manner. Checking loaded goods against delivery notes. Assisting Trade Counter customers as required. Keeping work areas clean and tidy. Some manual handling is required. Adhering to Health and Safety regulations at all times. Shift pattern is 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays, 7am to 12pm.
Person Specification:Builders merchant experience preferred – training will be given. Be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team. Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail. Be able to follow Health and Safety regulations. Good communication and customer service skills.
